Initiated by artlink and Diana Rojas-Feile in cooperation with Kaserne Basel
Solo-Alone-in Solitude is an interdisciplinary art project, a walk-in art installation, a curated radio show, a panel discussion with loneliness experts and much more.
The pandemic exposed that sensations of loneliness and social isolation can affect everyone.
In Solo-Alone-in Solitude, an array of people, aged between 10 and 85 and living in Basel, reflect on the topic of loneliness, together with an interdisciplinary group of artists. Through the use of songs, poems, stories, interviews, audio documentaries and much more, they explore the questions of how we as individuals relate to and cope with loneliness and its impact on us in general. The finale of the project is a three-day, multi-perspective-interactive art installation that forms a lively meeting place for people who want to talk more about the taboo topic of loneliness.
