Quick Facts:
Stepanets has dedicated all his work to revealing the social and psychological problems of society and the individual in his harsh satirical style. The form of artistic illustrations of emotional, harsh, deeply psychological plots, and symbolic imagery is the basis of his compositions. Another important aspect is selecting universal symbolism to make it understandable and accessible to the viewer. He is engaged in thoughtful research on the issues of art in political propaganda.
He works in different techniques that best embody the required idea: engraving, painting, graphics, watercolor, illustration and mixed medias.
His portfolio includes series that reveal a wide range of visual studies of problems of the individual and society: "Word as Blade", "Vicious", "Stool or in a Dark Room", "ZWO", "Dreams", "In Core", "Judas or with Bread and Salt", "#DessinsauStyloaBille".
Since 2022, he has been actively involved in initiatives to disclose data on the situation of civilian prisoners of war in conflict zones and created illustrative portraits of heroes and victims of war using ballpoint pen drawing, watercolor, and paper.
