Currently working on:

NOW it's the time - my debut album "Kamisaki - Jiwak aruskipañatakix, nayraqatax maynit maynikama aruntt'asipxañasapuniwa" (Eng. in order to be able to dialogue in peace, we must all, one by one, greet each other). It is a musical dialogue between Aymara traditional music and jazz. I will be presented in Sep 2023!

Quick Facts:

I am a modern Aymara-German siku musician based in La Paz and El Alto (Bolivia). My work consists in dynamizing the musical roots of the Bolivian Andes, expressed in the Andean aerophones, and empowering the Aymara cultural identity within modernity. We are the ancestors of tomorrow, right?

As a child, I was told that my siku was a "toy". Through the use of a new chromatic siku, Aymara singing and jazz, I transcend cultural stigmas with my music and inspire young Aymara people to be proud of our roots and in turn project our culture into the contemporary world.

I dream of my music being the soundtrack of an Aymara cultural revolution and that it may inspire in fighting against stigmatization, against abandoning our language and ways of viewing our world, so that we may achieve cultural self-determination within our modern era. Let this struggle be an example for the other silenced cultures of Abya Yala - ukax walikipunispawa (Aym. that would be really great).
