The ongoing work seeks to reflect on the multifaceted meaning of ancestry, which the artist understands as a concept that portrays the layers of our existence in intimacy and connection with elements such as traditions, territories and identities. From this perspective, the artist is photographing portraits of her father and mother that will result in a photographic series that seeks to visually translate these complex ancestral interconnections. Photographs of her ancestors are processed in Photoshop and combined with other photographs selected from the National Archives of Brazil, in the public domain. With this, the artist creates a collage that integrates portraits of his father and mother with photographs of other subjects. This intervention symbolizes the plurality of ancestries that make up our cultural heritage, as well as providing a portrait of Brazil's ancestral diversity.
