Quick Facts:

Eider belongs to the Yanakuna Ancestral Reserve of Rioblanco, Sotará. He lives and studies in Popayán, Colombia. His main areas of research and creation are performance and installation, linking expressions such as dance, singing, ritual and actions of daily life. His creations reflect on hegemonic discourses on a global scale, and establish a critical perspective that comes from an exercise of thinking, organization, and cosmovision of his community of origin. Through his work he addresses the correspondences and tensions between the rural and the urban, taking into account his own migrant experience as a Yanakuna indigenous community member. His work seeks to demonstrate forms of human expression in resonance with harmonic and natural worlds, constellations inhabiting cultural interrelations as a way of elaborating knowledge.

Eider is the founder of "Yanacroma", a collective that carries out projects on Visual and Performing Arts, mobilizing pedagogy, exhibitions, curatorial practice and cultural-artistic management processes.

Highest educational degree:

Bachelor in Arts from the University of Cauca, Colombia (2014).
