The wall, I think, where the protest always starts, in colleges and institutions it happens on the walls, or started with the writings on walls. Students in institutions knowingly or unknowingly write or create things on walls, draw something on the wall, make changes or add something to the writings and symbols of others on the walls. In a way, they are doing protests, which they do not know. And is it right to say any or every protest is a performance?

Dedh Inch Upar is a solo performance based on a story by Nirmal Verma. The story is about a drinker who visits the same bar daily for fifteen years after losing his wife to Gestapo Police during World War II. The character is talking about his wife the whole time and raising the question of how we lost our loved one to the system for the system’s cause and also live with a person and love them and do not know them, or they saved us from an ugly truth which can be harmful to us by not telling us that, and how we are not able to accept that something like that has happened to us.
