Leanetse Seekoe is touring a play in South Africa that she wrote and directed called "4 Cups". Interview with Goethe Institut about the piece.
Further, she is writing a play called "Like Pieces" which will be published and staged in 2024.

Leanetse Seekoe is an actress, playwright, theatre maker, and academic. She graduated with an Honours Degree in acting from the University of Cape Town, a PGCE from the University of the Witwatersrand, and a Master's Degree and PhD in English and Comparative Literature from the University of Fort Hare.
In 2017, Leanetse wrote and directed 4 Cups and performed it as a one-hander at The Market Theatre Laboratory The Plat4orm, Theatre Arts Admin Collective. In 2018, 4 Cups performed at the Pan-African Creative Exchange (PACE) and also at the Kuwamba Women's Festival at the TX Theatre.
In 2020, Leanetse wrote and directed Ruth which she performed as a two women performance at the Vrystaat Kunstefees and TX Theatre. In 2021, Ruth performed at the National Arts Festival Fringe in Makhanda, South Africa and won the Silver Ovation Award for Best Performance.
Leanetse won a Goethe Project Space award for 4 Cups which was reworked as a four-woman performance and premiered at Moses Molelekwa Art Centre in 2022. She was also awarded the Tejumola Olaniyan Creative Writer’s Residency Fellowship award at The Africa Institute in Sharjah, UAE.
In 2023, Leanetse has been invited for a visitor programme in Germany for the “Theatre meeting in Berlin”.
