Currently working on:

Currently I'm working in a non-fiction project called "Authopsy of a Defeat"; an exploration of mental illness -depression and bipolar disorder type 2- trough a memoir that explores a love break-up to explore and try to understand the illness.

Quick Facts:

My name is Miguel Carpio and I am a Bolivian migrant writer. In 2012 I won the Pablo Neruda Youth Poetry Prize with the poetry collection 'Jazzologías' (2015, Editorial 3600) and published the book of short stories 'Dos botellas más cerca de la muerte' (2021, Editorial 3600), chosen by the European Union to be part of the anthology 'Bolivia sub-35: narrativas emergentes' (2021). I was one of the winners of the call for '100 Artists', organised by Sudkulturfonds, and some of my texts were translated into English and Slavic. I have published stories and poems in the magazines Casa Bukowski, Hispanic Culture Review, Boca 'e Loba and Literaven, among others.
