Quick Facts:

I started my artistic career with painting and canvas as my only medium. While participating in a workshop for performance art, I got to know other media that allow me to express myself as an artist. I work with conceptual photography and three-dimensional installations. I have a personal preference for performance art and the inclusion of my body in my artistic practice. This gave me the opportunity to participate in various international performance art festivals.

My artworks are created out of enthusiasm and a desire for conscious liberation. I create works that are based on my own existence and sympathise with the existence of others. As well as works that relate to these existences and are integrated into the earth itself. So the world map is a recurring element in my works. I use ropes, balloons and bags to symbolise suffocation and my longing. Experimentation with new media is an ongoing part of my practice.
