Espérance Nsatou, known by her artist name Zina Hope is a performer, born 1995 in Brazzaville and raised in Pointe Noire.

Her artistic career began in 2018 when she successfully attracted attention on social media with her first song "Chez moi j'ai des bananes", a kind of snapshot of everyday life in the plots of Pointe Noire. Her songs, influenced by the "French touch", make life in the Congo the main theme and are sometimes acoustic, sometimes electro-rock. At her concerts, Zina Hope places great emphasis on performance and stage design, and she also plays the drums herself on some tracks.

In May 2022, her first EP was released with the simple title "Hope". This contains 7 tracks in acoustic sessions, on which Zina Hope is accompanied only by a guitar. The release of her first album "Je suis en route" is planned for 2023.

Zina Hope is also an event designer and documentary filmmaker. Her work and positive charisma have earned her image contracts with TNT AFRICA and BCI Congo.

My very first song "Chez moi j'ai des bananes" written and composed in 2018 by Philippe Edouard who is still my author, composer and manager. We clipped the title in a single sequence shot in the Tchiniambi neighbourhood in Pointe-Noire. And what a surprise! 10,000 views in less than a week on my Facebook page. I was just singing for fun, but it was the start of my young career. Clipped by Samuel Guettard (OK zerOKilled). Recorded at "Villa Tchimbamba" by Baurdier Deckerpel & Mixed at Bantu Studio by Styd Beatz. Artistic direction by Philippe Edouard & Baurdier Deckerpel. TV: Villa Tchimbamba

My debut was marked in 2018 by an image contract with the company Digital Network Africa. This 1st contract allowed me to leave my job as a receptionist in an Italian restaurant in Pointe-Noire and to devote myself solely to my career. It was also my debut in television where I hosted the show "Villa Tchimbamba" for Canal 2 / TNT AFRICA for a year. I received many guests and artists for Live Music. At that time, it was the only Congolese TV show that offered live music. What beautiful memories: Générique!

Short Film: Ba marchés ya béto

It was under my real name, Espérance Nsatou, that I made my first short film: "Ba marchés ya béto" presented by the French Institute of Pointe-Noire during the week of the documentary "Vision de femmes". This film is about the insalubrity of the markets of Pointe-Noire in the Republic of Congo. A first experience as a filmmaker in the form of an outcry about the sadness of my environment. Ya pas la monnaie! How many times have I heard this phrase in the Congo? Every day! The clip, directed by zerOKilled was shot in a welding shed and I play all the characters from the singer to the taxi driver, from the musicians to the priest, including the secretary or the policewoman, lol! Live : Aimée wa bolingo

Why? Because it is our Congolese rumba. Because it's our Congolese rumba, but above all because it's the tribute I wanted to pay to Edo Nganga, with whom I shared many moments of friendship. I recorded this song the day after his death and since that day I sing "Aimée wa bolingo" at each of my concerts. It is a song that the "Patriarch" had written for his mother Aimée. Edo was the last living founding member of the Bantu of the Capital. Song by Edo Nganga (Les Bantous de la Capitale) released in 1956, written and composed by Edo Nganga.
