About the artlink Directory

The artlink Directory is a digital gateway for artists from Africa, Latin America, Southeast and Southwest Asia, and Eastern Europe living and working inside and outside of Switzerland.



What is it?

Creatives depend on connections, access to networks, interactions and exchanges. They depend on long-term commitment from funders, donors and partner organisations. This is especially relevant for those living and working in countries where public or private support is minimal, restricted or non-existent, as well as migrant artists. The artlink Directory is a digital gateway that fosters a sustainable transcultural community of practice while strengthening links with cultural institutions in Switzerland and elsewhere. Members include creatives that artlink has worked with in the past – artists, cultural institutions, and other cultural professionals. Apart from being a networking tool, it is also a platform for artist discovery.

  • Artists and creative practitioners based anywhere in the world, and especially those from Africa, Latin America, Southeast and Southwest Asia, Eastern Europe, living inside or outside of Switzerland
  • Cultural institutions looking to work with international artists, and especially those from Switzerland
  • Artists, curators, organisers, promoters looking for international collaborators, and especially those from Switzerland

artlink envisions a more culturally diverse and sustainable future where artists are empowered to make a bigger impact. On the basis of all members of the artlink Directory, we are developing a programme called Turntables. Its main objective is to support creative practitioners across the globe through building entrepreneurial skills, enabling inclusion and networking, sharing knowledge, fostering exchanges and supporting artistic collaborations. Turntables will make an impact by:

  1. Nurturing collaborative practice and peer to peer exchange among cultural professionals
  2. Supporting young people to build skills, find a sense of belonging and increase employability
  3. Promoting gender equality by creating opportunities for women and LGBTQ+ artists
  4. Contributing to social inclusion and integration among artists with migrant experience
  5. Making global collaborations and knowledge exchange more sustainable through digital exchange
